A Hip-Hop Artist with a Unique Voice

Discover the work of an innovative hip-hop artist with a politically charged message. Marcus King is a singer, rapper, instrumentalist, and composer based in Los Angeles. Marcus moved to LA seeking to break into the music business but soon became disillusioned with the politics of the industry. He decided to go independent and founded his own record label, Risin Star Ent., to provide his tracks directly to his fans.

Marcus is best known for his animated viral video "Club Mars,"  and "Hoody Walk" a lyrical tribute to Trayvon Martin.  His first album, "Throwback," is an R&B-pop crossover with All Alone, Best I Can, and Lose Kontrol as three of the more heavily downloaded songs from the album.
